About

Monique Camps (1966) lives and works in Velden, The Netherlands.
She graduated from Academie Beeldende Kunsten Maastricht in 1997 and holds a bachelor degree in fine arts.

Three portraits by the famous 19th century French painter Théodore Géricault have taken her on a never ending journey. You're welcome to join her on this visually enchanting time travel.

Monique Camps knows that size matters. Turning up the volume on an object through magnifying it to almost beyond recognition changes your perception. Monique selects the medium that is most appropriate for revealing the beauty in the seemingly unimportant object or subject she has chosen. Her art opens your eyes to a world you might easily overlook.
