The life aquatic series In 2010 I photographed my first tide pool on the rough Scottish coast. Surrounded by overwhelming nature the alluring universe of tiny rock pools caught my attention. The paradox of the immense ocean and mountains and the miniature landscapes and lives in a tide pool never stopped surprising me. But is it a paradox or is all just about the scale of things?
