ART SALE SHOW at Musée privé (à emporter) in Velden [NL] Started on the 26th September 2025 to celebrate the birthday of Théodore Géricault in 1791 on this day.
The theme of the show was COLLECTING art.
How do you build a collection as a private collector? What makes you decide that this is THE artwork for your collection? What happens when you surround yourself with artworks? Does the artwork change in a different setting? Does your interpetation and appreciation change?
And what about collecting art for a Museum? Do you invest in artists or artworks and how do you decide what to add to a Museum collection?
Architects and art collectors Annemariken Hilberink and Geert Bosch talked about how, what and why they collect art.
And Rick Vercauteren gave an insight into building a collection for a museum. He was the director of Museum van Bommel van Dam from 2004 • 2017.
To promote collecting art all artworks were offered with a 30% discount during these three days.
